Fue el viernes 26 de octubre en la localidad de Mercedes, en el marco del 4to Encuentro Nacional de Mujeres Rurales Argentinas.
Las sampedrinas homenajeadas fueron Marta Susana Ferrari por Vivero Laurino, Rosa Carmen Pascual por Vivero Gaido y Eleonor Laura Otero por Vivero Liliana. Es el segundo año que viveristas locales reciben el reconocimiento por su aporte a la labor del campo. Para recibir la distinción deben vivir y trabajar en la zona rural, afianzar el arraigo y realizar aportes a la conservación de las tradiciones.
Se trata de una iniciativa de la Asociación Regional de Productores Emprendedores y Artesanos del Oeste (AROPEA-FEBAPRI), a través de su referente de género Susana Castagneto, que busca visibilizar el aporte de la mujer a las economías regionales y la vida rural. Se realiza en el mes de octubre, en continuidad con la celebración del Día de la Mujer Rural que se ha fijado en el día 15 del mes. Se trata de 3 jornadas durante las cuáles mujeres de todo el país comparten vivencias a través de debates sobre la problemática rural en la actualidad y capacitación que brindan las herramientas para afrontar los nuevos desafíos que se presentan en la diversidad territorial.
Reciben el reconocimiento 40 mujeres, y es la segunda oportunidad que son reconocidas las de San Pedro. La iniciativa es celebrada por la Cámara de Viveristas, que en los últimos años se va consolidando como una organización local que reúne a emprendimientos que en la mayoría de los casos se fundan en el trabajo de la familia.
